Claremont is part of Central Salford, bordered by Seedley and Irlam o’th Heights and is one of the most affluent wards in the city.
Predominantly a residential area, Claremont contains a diverse mix of housing, which ranges from semi-detached properties and low rise apartment blocks to large Victorian terrace properties and more detached homes as you move towards Irlam o’th Heights.
Residents of Claremont benefit from two local areas of greenery- Lightoaks Park and Oakwood Park, both of which are popular in the warmer, summer months. In addition, Buile Hill Park in neighbouring Seedley is within walking distance. This park is included on English Heritage's Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England and boasts tennis courts, a multi-use games area, outdoor gym equipment, picnic areas and a children's play area.
Tenants with families will like the fact that Claremont contains three different primary schools and is home to Buile Hill Visual Arts College. The neighbourhood is also just a five minute drive from Salford Royal Hospital.
Although there is no Metrolink station located in Claremont, the neighbourhood is ideally situated for those commuting to work with easy access to the East Lancashire Road, which connects Manchester and Liverpool and the nearby M62, M60 and M61 motorways. Those who do not have access to a vehicle will be able to make use of the regular buses into Manchester city centre and across Salford.
Shoppers can make use of the nearby Salford Shopping City, while The Trafford Centre and Lowry Shopping Outlet, both packed with shops of every description, are just a short drive away.
